Meditation for Acceptance and Grace

Thursday, August 7th at 6pm

Guided meditations will be held at 6:00 on the first and third Thursdays of the month.

In these challenging times, it is more and more vital that we take time for ourselves... time for peaceful letting go... time to open ourselves, our hearts, and our mind to a universe of peaceful understanding. 

The focus for our August 7th meditation will be: "Acceptance and Grace."  We are human beings living lives filled with events that we will cherish for a lifetime - and events we would rather forget. We live life one breath at a time. We create our world in that one breath. We can choose the path we walk - and we can choose to change direction. In this meditation, we will explore the wonderful possibilities within the practice of simply letting go. Please, I ask you to take three deep breaths, close your eyes, and then feel if you are being guided to come join us for this peaceful letting go…

At Harmony Street Yoga, there is NEVER a charge for meditation; however, if after the meditation, you feel like you would like to contribute to the maintenance of the studio, it will be deeply appreciated - but NOT necessary.

Lunar Eclipse Chakra Balancing and Meditation

Sunday, September 7th at 6pm

This is a very special event - unlike other chakra balancing events, this one occurs on a full moon and a lunar eclipse. Though the eclipse will not be visible in the US, its transformative power will still be felt.

Chakra balancing facilitates a free energy flow, fostering a sense of equilibrium, balance, and calm (harmony).  By focusing on specific chakras, we gain insights into our emotions, thoughts, and behaviors (self-awareness).  Aligning energy centers deepens one’s sense of connection to oneself, others, and the universe.

In this Meditation of the Blood Moon, we will focus on continued healing of both the physical body and the spiritual body. It will be a time for you to deepen your connection with the Inner Wisdom that guides you. After initial balancing of the seven primary chakras, the evening’s meditation will focus on the heart, third eye, and crown chakras, tuning in to the transformative power of intuition and welcoming the transitions to higher frequencies that are necessary for spiritual growth at this time in our history.

A set of healing crystals will be provided for your use. If you have your own chakra stones, I encourage you to bring them. Please bring any other crystals you feel drawn to bring. All are welcome.

NOTE: This is NOT a physical yoga class. Restorative yoga poses are extremely gentle and designed to open each chakra and help you feel completely relaxed and comfortable before meditation. Bolsters, pillows, and blankets are used to fully support the body.
